Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of BlockViz ("we," "us," or "our") website and services at blockviz.xyz. By using our services, you agree to these Terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using BlockViz, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you may not use our services.

2. Account Registration

To access certain features, you must create an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials
  • Promptly notify us of any unauthorized access
  • Be responsible for all activity under your account

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

3. Subscription Plans

3.1 Free Tier

The free tier provides limited access to BlockViz features. No payment is required. We may modify free tier limitations at any time.

3.2 Paid Subscriptions (Pro & Commercial)

Paid subscriptions are billed monthly or annually through Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel.

  • Pro: For personal, non-commercial use with expanded features.
  • Commercial: Includes commercial usage rights and white-label exports.

3.3 Cancellation & Refunds

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or Stripe's billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not offer refunds for partial periods, except as required by law.

3.4 Price Changes

We may change subscription prices with 30 days' notice. Existing subscribers will be notified by email before the new pricing takes effect.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use BlockViz for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
  • Interfere with or disrupt our services
  • Scrape, copy, or redistribute our content without permission
  • Create automated accounts or use bots
  • Resell or redistribute access to paid features
  • Use BlockViz outputs commercially without a Commercial subscription
  • Remove or alter any proprietary notices or watermarks

5. Intellectual Property

5.1 Our Content

BlockViz, including its design, code, graphics, and documentation, is owned by us or our licensors. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our express permission.

5.2 Your Content

You retain ownership of data you create (watchlists, portfolios, settings). By using our services, you grant us a limited license to store and process this data to provide our services.

5.3 Usage Rights by Tier

  • Free & Pro: Personal use only. Charts and exports may not be used in commercial publications without upgrading.
  • Commercial: Grants rights to use BlockViz outputs in client work, publications, and commercial content.

6. Market Data Disclaimer

Market data displayed on BlockViz is provided by third-party sources (primarily CoinGecko) and is for informational purposes only. See our Disclaimer & Risk Disclosure for important information about data accuracy and limitations.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

BlockViz is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that:

  • The service will be uninterrupted or error-free
  • Data will be accurate, complete, or timely
  • The service will meet your specific requirements

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, BlockViz and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including:

  • Financial losses from investment decisions
  • Lost profits or business opportunities
  • Loss of data
  • Service interruptions

Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless BlockViz and its operators from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of our services or violation of these Terms.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access if you:

  • Violate these Terms
  • Engage in fraudulent or abusive behavior
  • Fail to pay subscription fees

Upon termination, your right to use BlockViz ceases immediately. We may retain certain data as required by law.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of the Netherlands.

12. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or website notice. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
